Not only the electronics have been revolutionised, but the mechanics as well - Blaupunkt now uses a completely new CD mechanism developed by Blaupunkt and manufactured in Europe. The result: a noticeable increase in performance in virtually every respect.
It all starts with the allowable installation angle that can vary between -10° and a sensational +105° without compromising the player's resistance to vibration. The patented "Double-V suspension system" makes it possible, which uses a double-V design for the player's suspension springs to make virtually any position possible. A new laser pick-up with holographic laser optics makes sure that both the CD tuners stay on track, even when there is a lot of vibration or the CDs are scratched. All designed for use for many years to come. The holographic laser works without a sensitive lens system that may become misaligned over the course of time. Speed is everything; and that goes for CD mechanisms as well. Rapid track change, drastically reduced start-up times when you switch to the CD source and a more gentle insert and eject feature for the CDs round out the positive characteristics of this new player. All that's left to say is that the audio data is forwarded to the sound control and the equalizer in digital form - which rules out any signal loss!
